About Us
Lynette Sahara knows that plants make people happy.
Sahara Garden Art is the result of Lynette’s passion for design and her extensive knowledge of plants.
Lynette opened a plant nursery and garden centre right in the middle of the Rocky Mountains. The climate was challenging: snow could fall at any time of year, and greenhouses had to be heated virtually all season long. Once that adventure drew to a close, Lynette transferred her love of plants to warmer climes, spending years planting both vines and roots in the Okanagan Valley. Her plant passion followed her family’s move to Texas, where she studied floral design.
Those skills meshed with her love of living plants, and evolved into into a passion for creating live plant arrangements as head designer at Succulent Native in Austin, TX. Now, having returned to the Okanagan, Lynette is putting her experience and passion to work at Sahara Garden Art.
Joining Lynette now is Kayla her daughter, they plan to continue to grow the flower program and the workshops.
