From KOYA to MAKU – A New Chapter Begins!

As of November 1st, we will be changing our restaurant’s name to “MAKU”. We will have a new look and an updated menu, but don’t worry, all your favourite menu items will still be available! We look forward to welcoming you to MAKU.

Our Trademark

“創” is a Japanese kanji letter and can be read as SOU or TSUKURU. The meaning is to create, to establish something.

“MAKU” is the word for “幕” in Japanese kanji letter. The translation is the curtain on the stage, and it has the meaning of turning around and starting a new chapter.

“MAKU” has another Japanese kanji “巻”, which means to roll or to wrap something.

Our trademark means creating new value through the fusion of Japanese food culture on a new stage in Canada.

Hours of Operation (All year round)

Our business was established three years ago, but we have recently changed the name of the business because many customers and suppliers are confusing it with the business run by the previous company. Please assured that the staff and menu will remain the same as before.  Thank you for your support.
