The Sweet Delilah Swim Club follows the story of five unforgettable women who have been friends since their college swim team days. Sheree, the spunky team captain, always in control and still trying to keep everyone organized. Dinah, the wise-cracking overachiever who is a career dynamo but experiences endless frustrations in her personal life. Lexie, the pampered and outspoken one who is determined to keep her youth and looks so she can hang on to her latest husband. Vernadette, the self-deprecating hard luck case, whose dark cloud follows her through life. And Jeri Neal, the sweet late bloomer into the world of men and motherhood.
Free from the pressures of everyday life (husbands, kids, and jobs), these five woman have been meeting every August at “The Sweet Delilah”, a quaint cottage on the Outer Banks in North Carolina. Covering the span of 33 years, these women renew their lifelong friendship with advice and raucous repartee to get through all of life’s challenges. They prove that the enduring power of teamwork can get them through anything. The Sweet Delilah Swim Club is laugh out loud funny and poignant by turns, celebrating friendships that last forever.
