Independent theatres bring fresh, unique stories to the stage that might not be considered by mainstream, commercial theatres. These stories often reflect a wider range of perspectives and experiences, including those of marginalized communities.​ Ounce of Flesh enters Tempest Theatre in Penticton BC as they navigate their uncertain future post pandemic, fighting for their own survival and asking bigger, universal questions of Art’s importance.

Produced for TELUS STORYHIVE, this will be the community premiere of the documentary which will be broadcast on OptikTV in the fall of 2025.

The screening will be followed up with a talkback session with: Paul Crawford, Kate Twa, Ronan Reinart and Jennifer Vincent
