The History is gritty, high energy and, quite honestly, chaotic. Somehow they walk the haywire while executing lush, expansive arrangements. Growling blues vocals over danceable funk rhythms compel audiences across North America and Europe to boogie down and surf the crowd. A genuine ‘Freakout Orchestra’, their powerhouse horn section, violin, and pedal steel that make every show a unique, electric sonic experience. Often joined by featured instrumentalists and vocalists, The History has garnered critical and popular acclaim as one of the best touring live acts in Canada and boasts an explosive sound somewhere between Tom Waits, Nick Cave, and Radiohead.

The History seems to be unwaveringly barreling upwards with the fall 2024 release of their album Swallows, their third European tour on the horizon, and the much anticipated release of their upcoming album, The Epileptic Vol II in summer 2025.
