Human Library: A Journey Through Canada’s Diversity at The Penticton Art Gallery
Join the Human Library – Borrow People, Not Books!
Step into a world of stories and perspectives at the Human Library, where you can “borrow” real people to hear their stories, challenge stereotypes, and expand your understanding of diversity and inclusion.
The Human Library fosters open dialogue, encouraging deeper connections and greater understanding of the diverse experiences and identities within our South Okanagan community.
Each Human Book represents a group often subject to prejudice, stereotypes, or discrimination. These community members have chosen their titles and are eager to share their experiences with readers like you.
Whether you’re looking to challenge your own assumptions or simply learn more, this is your chance to ask questions like, “What is it like to be you?” in a safe and open environment.
Come with curiosity. Leave with a new perspective.
