Join us on Thursday November 7 at 1:00 PM in beautiful Penticton to learn about the latest advancements in stroke research. The event takes place at Okanagan College – Penticton Campus, in the Sunoka building, room A06. Signage will be available to direct you to the right building and room.
This free in-person event highlights the importance of stroke research. Join People with Lived Experience of a stroke and caregivers, and learn about stroke research taking place at UBC-O, in the Okanagan and in Canada. Meet UBC-O researchers, March of Dimes Canada After Stroke staff, and Interior Health staff.
Presentations willl cover topics like:
- Why People with Lived Experience and their caregivers want to get engaged with stroke research
- Why researchers want participants and patient partners in stroke research
- The importance of research in healthcare
- The Penticton Research program
Presentations will be followed by a Question & Answer session and time to network. Enjoy light refreshments and get to know others who have had a stroke too!
