Introductory Workshop – 10:00am-1:00pm / 2:00pm-5:00pm

Before the advent of modern bakers yeast, bakers kept a living sourdough culture around to leaven their breads. Come join us and learn the basics of baking bread with a traditional sourdough culture. This workshop includes an introduction to the art, science and magic of a living sourdough culture as well as a container of sourdough starter.

This presentation will be led by Chris Mathieson, our General Manager. Advanced registration is required and space is limited.

Advance Workshop – 6:00pm-9:00pm

Each participant will leave with two sourdough starters: the same culture from our introductory class, as well as a brand-new rye-based starter to broaden your baking repertoire.
