Ignite the Arts is a ten day celebration of art and culture separated into two parts: Community Week, and Festival Weekend!

Community Week: March 22-28

Kicking off on Friday, March 22, 2024 and running through to Sunday, March 31, 2024, key events include the unveiling of the Penticton Art Gallery’s Mini Mural project in partnership with Cannery Brewing, Lake to Lake Art Walk in partnership with PDCAC, Artist Talks, Art Installations, Parade for No Reason, and a THREE DAY, MULTI-VENUE, MUSIC FESTIVAL!

Festival Weekend: March 29-31

The second weekend is when the streets come alive with music! The Weekend of March 29th to 31st will feature our ticketed event day stages. A wide range of live performances, workshops and activities throughout the downtown core, taking advantage of existing indoor spaces featuring two full days of programming spread around town from noon until 10 pm, culminating at a single venue to end off each day from 10:00-1:00 am.

Music and Art in 10 venues across Penticton with performances by over 50 acts from across the province and beyond including The History of Gunpowder, Madeline Terbasket, Selina Martin, Balkan Shmalkan, Al Simmons, Melawmen Collective, Leo D.E Johnson, Kia Kadiri, Saltwater Hank and much more.

The festival offers a wide range of community programming including free events, workshops and educational programs. Each location will feature revolving musical acts, with each talent preforming two times over the course of the weekend to guarantee you will have the chance to see all you favourites.
