Start off your day with a fresh breakfast, home made baked goods and fresh coffee at Nautical Dog Cafe, located in the Skaha Lake Marina. Grab a seat on their patio overlooking the marina, lake and beach areas as you plan the rest of your day!
A short walk after breakfast and you are on the Skaha Lake Park pathway. Grab a spot under a tree to give yourself some shade and a break from the hot South Okanagan sun. If you are looking to play in the water, we suggest heading to the far west side of the beach were the water is shallower and you can walk out further.
Check out the Discovery Park at Skaha Lake that is in line with the “natural playground” movement, which incorporates elements you would find in nature into play equipment. This encourages children to move and use their imagination, fostering physical, cognitive and emotional development.
When its time for lunch, take a 5-10 minute walk along Skaha Lake Road and try Sushi Kojo. A sushi experience that brings a little Japanese flair and a whole lot of Okanagan hospitality together in what is the perfect blend for Penticton. Sit in-side, on the patio or grab some take out to bring back to the park!
The Rotary Play World is a go-to favourite for local and visitors alike. Perfectly designed for children of all ages you will find 3 different playground structures, 2 swing sets and a seasonal splash pad. Surrounding by picnic tables and close access to washrooms, this area of the park is perfect for younger families.
No day in Penticton is complete with out a sweet treat! The famous Tickleberry’s in Ok Falls, also operate the two concession stands at Skaha Lake park offering their generous ice cream cones, refreshments and snacks.
