Although we continue to enjoy high temperatures into September, Penticton is reaching a transitional season where some of our iconic summer-based businesses are temporarily closing their doors until the summer sun shines again next year.
This past weekend was the last chance for your family to enjoy the Penticton Wibit, the floating adventure park on Okanagan Lake, and to float the famous Penticton channel on one of Coyote Cruises‘ deluxe party islands – complete with bus transportation back to the top of the waterway. However, it’s only goodbye for now to these essential summer experiences which will return for the summer of 2023.
Heading into September there is still plenty of time for amazing late summer adventures during a slightly cooler and quieter season that some visitors prefer.

After the Labour Day long weekend, you’ll be able to experience ALL activities every weekend with mini golf and go karts still available on weekdays.
Creperie OoLaLa
Until September 25th, 2022
Served from a nostalgic airstream next to the S.S. Sicamous, you can enjoy the delicious crepes, drinks and cafe confections through the Pentastic Jazz Festival (Sept. 9th -11th), and for a couple weeks more when they move to weekends only from Sept. 11th to Sept. 25th, 2022.
Linden Gardens & Frog City Cafe (Kaleden)

Linden Gardens is a picturesque 9 acre garden and green space, and they are open daily 8AM – 4PM for you to stroll through the gardens and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Frog City Cafe sits at the centre of the breathtaking gardens, serving organic coffee, high-quality loose-leaf teas, handcrafted specialty drinks, and fresh-baked goodies, and is open Wednesday to Sunday, 9AM – 3PM.

Kettle Valley Steam Railway (Summerland)

Experience the romance of a bygone era at the Kettle Valley Steam Railway in the beautiful and bountiful Okanagan Valley. Open on weekends for their standard scenic run rides until October 10th, 2022, with experiences such as the Great Train Robbery and BBQ on Sept 18th and 25th and the Sorcery Express, a spooky Halloween ride finishing off the season on Oct 21st-23rd.
Penticton Speedway

Come watch as everyone fights for a top position to secure their points for the season on Saturday evenings through September! Regular racing season runs until Oct. 1st, 2022, with the Speedway Spooktacular on Oct. 29th, 2022.
Penticton Golf & Country Club

You can enjoy an extended golf season in the South Okanagan. Public golfers are always welcome at the Penticton Golf & Country Club to enjoy this perfect late-summer activity. This centrally located course is also celebrating their centennial year this 2022.

Farm fresh produce and products all grown or produced in the South Okanagan are available at the Penticton Farmer’s Market until the end of October on the 100 Block of Main St. from 8:30AM – 1:00PM.

Rentals and Experiences
When you are planning your September activities, remember that many of the seasonal rental and experiential businesses will look to the weather forecast to determine the length of their season for 2022.
To avoid upset, we recommend calling beforehand to ensure there is available staff to lead your tour and facilitate the pick-up and drop-off of your equipment.

Located across from the S.S. Sicamous on Okanagan Lake, Penticton Bike Rentals unique pedal cars, trikes, and floatation devices could be yours – we just recommend that you give them a call!
Penticton E-Kruise

Rent an electric bicycle and take a self-guided tour with your BFFs. Sit back, relax, take in the flavours, soak up the scenery, and enjoy the E-Kruise experience. Open daily from 10AM – 6PM with pick up locations in Penticton, Naramata, Summerland and Cawston!
