Exploring the alpine backcountry in the winter conditions has risks. Risks can be lowered with education and preparedness. Practice makes improvement.

We have developed a Ski Tour combined with a beacon search to simulate real world scenarios and real world conditions.

Join us for a fun ski tour and a beacon search exercise on top of Apex Mountain Resort.

You’ll learn vital basic skills to locate a buried object.

We recommend that participants be able to ski a blue trail on their own and have the ability to ski tour uphill for 4 hours.
