We are offering a valuable practical session and information share on the topics of Snow Awareness & Avalanche Safety.

This is NOT an AST 1 course.

Whether you venture into the backcountry on skis, split board, snowshoes or by machine: First, you should be able to – 1/ “Know Before You Go” 2/ Read terrain and understand snowpack. 3/ Use a beacon, transceiver, probe, and shovel to locate and rescue a buried subject.

If you already have some knowledge on how to use a probe, shovel, and transceiver or you want to learn more this course can be of value to you.

If you have your own beacon, probe, and shovel, you are welcome to bring them otherwise course associated equipment is included.
