5 weeks of classes

Ages 13 – 18
2 hours per class | 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm | Wednesdays

Class Dates: April 20th, April 27th, May 4th, May 11th, May 18th | 2022

Limit of 5 students per session. Each student will have their own wheel during the duration of the class.

Includes one 25 pound bag of clay, firing, studio glazes, underglazes, and use of tools.

If needed, more clay can be purchased separately by students directly from the studio.

Clay costs range anywhere from $20 – $40/bag depending on the clay body that you choose. Sold by the 25 pound bag.

All registered students must have a registration package on file prior to the start of class. This package must be completed by a parent/guardian. You will be emailed this package upon completion of payment for class.
Students who complete this course will have the opportunity to join our After School Teen Clay Club starting in September, 2022.

Students will learn the basics of wheel throwing. How to prepare their clay, centre their clay on the wheel and how to create basic shapes like cylinders and bowls. They will also learn how to trim and decorate their pieces using a variety of techniques including sgraffito, underglazing, resist techniques & carving. They can throw as many pieces as their clay allows!
