Founded in 1995, Tin Whistle Brewing is the original craft brewery of the South Okanagan, offering a wide selection of beer for locals and visitors alike. Tin Whistle was named after the first locomotive train to run on the Kettle Valley Railway which when it was constructed connected the regions of the Okanagan Valley like never before.
Tin Whistle’s brewery and taproom are located in the historic Cannery Trade Centre. It’s a super cool industrial space where our iconic Peach Cream Ale is always flowing, records are always playing, a new experimental beer is always on tap, and where friendly faces are always waiting to serve you!
Our taproom provides the chance to try our iconic award-winning classics like Peach Cream Ale, Mythical Creatures Westcoast IPA, and Black Widow Dark Lager while also trying our latest releases and wild experimental beers like Cherry Blossom Japanese Lager made with sake kasu, Italian Amber Ale made with pizza crusts from our favourite pizzeria- Pizzeria Tratto Napoletana, Chocolate Cherry Porter an iconic Tin Whistle winter beer made with organic cacao, and more. Our onsite store provides an opportunity to take home canned beers, to fill growlers, or to pick up some Tin Whistle Merchandise including our newest 30th birthday beer mugs and The Gang’s All Here t-shirts! Not into beer? We always have wine, cider, non-alcoholic beer, and fruit sodas on the menu.
Feeling hungry while you are here? Now serving Bar Pies at the Tin Whistle! Bar Pies (noun): a thin, crispy, square-cut pizza made famous in old-school New Jersey and Long Island bars. Small, craveable, and born to be eaten with a cold beer in hand.
Family friendly always (furry friends welcome on the patio during patio season)! The entire family is welcome to come and spend time with us! We’ve got a full-size train for kiddos to graffiti on, so parents can sit back and enjoy. Four legged furry friends are welcome to come and hangout on the patio during patio season.
Tin Whistle focuses on making great beer, with less impact. They are the first certified carbon neutral brewery in BC.
