We believe in a vibrant, flourishing, and sustainable artistic community that is inclusive and accessible to all. The PDCAC works hard to provide opportunities for artists and community members to come together to celebrate all things art.

WHAT DO WE DO?
LEIR HOUSE CULTURAL CENTRE
We manage the Leir House. The Leir House Cultural Centre is the HEART of our community. It is the home of the PDCAC, Penticton Potters’ Guild, 8 Artists in Residence, and the Penticton Academy of Music.
PARTNERSHIPS
We partner with a wide variety of artists, art groups, social service providers, and local businesses to promote our local art community and ensure visibility, accessibility, and participation for all.
ARTS MATTER PROGRAM
Through our in-person and online Arts Matter programming, we offer a wide variety of free artistic activities for our community. From arts and crafts to musical performances — there is something for everyone. Check out these programs here.
EXHIBITIONS & ARTS COUNCIL GALLERY
We host 6 to 8 exhibitions each year showcasing emerging and professional artists, community groups, and open group exhibitions. Check out our exhibitions here.
ART CLASSES
We work with artists at all stages in their careers to help share their skills and passions. With classes for children to seniors, there is something for everyone. Register for a class here.
CREATIVE CONNECTIONS
Reducing social isolation through creative drop-in groups — art is always better together. From painting to knitting, at these weekly and monthly creative social gatherings, everyone has a good time. Check out our drop-in groups here.
