Providing quality live theatre to the South Okanagan
Many Hats Theatre Company has been bringing imagination to life in Penticton since 2007 when a group of likeminded thespians decided Penticton needed the magic of Live Theatre.
They say it takes a village to raise a child, and a play is not much different. Most people go to a performance, see the actors on stage, and are so caught up in the moment they don’t realize how many people, and roles, it takes to bring a show to the stage; from the Business Manager working to get the rights to perform, to the set designers and builders, to the Director, Producer and Stage Manager, The Lighting and Sound technicians, right up to the friendly faces at the door, it takes a village of theatrical people to make theatre magic.
Starting out with a small company meant everyone involved performed various roles from one show to the next and sometimes several within the same performance. Needless to say “Many Hats Theatre Company” is aptly named!
Though the size of our Company has grown our philosophy remains the same. Everyone changes “hats” and pitches in where they are needed. We are like one big fun filled family!
