Wine with the Artistic Director at Tempest Theatre
- Wed • August 4, 2021 • 7:30 PM
- Event Cost: $20.00
Our Artistic Director, Kate Twa, has taught thousands of actors in the craft of acting, co-founded Railtown Actor’s Studio in Vancouver and in 2018 co-founded Tempest Theatre and Film Society in Penticton. She is an award-winning director and writer, with dozens of stage plays, and 2 feature length films in her list of achievements.
On August 4th, Kate brings John Cassini (‘Intelligence’, ‘Robson Arms’, ‘Seven’, Railtown Actor’s Studio co-founder) and Brian Markinson (‘Madmen’, ‘Charlie Wilson’s War’, ‘Fargo’) onto the stage for a discussion about training, creativity and no doubt, also some storytelling. With decades of experience and hundreds of stage & screen credits to their names, these three are sure to provide an exciting night. Sit back with a glass of local wine and enjoy a night out.
‘Wine with the Artistic Director’ is an interview-style series held in our black box theatre with guests drawn from Kate’s broad network. In each episode, Kate and her guests dive into conversation about the role of creativity with a focus on live theatre. The ‘Theatre’ is a fascination for many and the skills used to deliver compelling performances are surprisingly translatable to everyday life. Part talk-show, part Masterclass – the discussions will certainly amuse and enlighten
