Sarah grew up in in southern Sweden, surrounded by ocean, forest and farmland. She started playing the organ at 7, before picking up mum’s old guitar from the attic at 11. “That’s when I started writing songs, and I formed my first rock band at 12. I spent my teenage years in a dingy rehearsal space in the city of Malmö, always obsessed with the art of a song.” Now Sarah is based in Canada (her father’s home country). She learned how to chop wood and experienced -50 in the Yukon.
Sarah has seen many small Canadian and European towns and studied Music Composition and Audio Engineering in University. She got a puppy, collected multiple awards, played major Canadian and International festivals and shared stages with many people who she admires.
‘All The Hours I Have Left To Tell You Anything’is a record about strength, identity, death, the breakdown of relationships, birth, and the ghosts we honor and carry throughout. It is my fourth record. It was written in the midst of the death of my grandparents, the birth of my niece, and a break up. The nine songs are influenced by the vastness of the Yukon landscape and the dark beauty of Scandinavia.
