Pecha Kucha Volume 18: Move It
Vol. 18: MOVE IT!
Cannery Brewing, Penticton, BC, Thursday December 5, 2019.
Doors open at 6 p.m. (speakers at 7 p.m.)
At Pecha Kucha Penticton we like to bust a move whenever we can. For Volume 18 of our popular speaker series we feature a schwack of speakers who all like to “move it” in their own ways. They move their bodies, their perspectives, their town, and even our perspectives. Come see them and you might get moved too! Get tickets early. This event regularly sells out.
Pecha Kucha ̶ Japanese for “chit-chat” ̶ is a speaker series that originated in Tokyo in 2003. It’s since grown into an international series in more than 1,000 cities. Based on a simple format ̶ 20 images x 20 seconds ̶ presenters get a total of 6 minutes and 40 seconds to tell their stories in an engaging slide-show format.
Held four times a year in Penticton, this regularly sold-out not-for-profit series is presented by Cowork Penticton, with tunes by DJ Shakes and a special performance by Dino Matias. Pecha Kucha brings together a diverse range of Okanagan thinkers, doers and story tellers
