Pecha Kucha Speaker Series
With the hustle and bustle of spring upon us and summer just around the corner, the Pecha Kucha Speaker series has rounded up the chaotic energy around us into a grab bag of speakers. With Grab Bag!, our 16th event, we’ve got 10 inspiring speakers presenting on a metric schwack of topics ranging from policing to film making to battling an evil monkey.
Pecha Kucha ̶ Japanese for “chit-chat” ̶ is a speaker series that originated in Tokyo in 2003. It’s since grown into an international series in more than 1,000 cities. Based on a simple format ̶ 20 images x 20 seconds ̶ presenters get a total of 6 minutes and 40 seconds to tell their stories in an engaging slide-show format.
Held four times a year in Penticton, this regularly sold-out not-for-profit series presented by Cowork Penticton and with tunes by DJ Shakes brings together a diverse range of Okanagan thinkers, doers and story tellers who will grab your attention.
Doors open 6:00pm. First presentation at 7:00 p.m. Come early to get a seat.
