Pecha Kucha Penticton: Creating Character
Vol. 19: CREATING CHARACTER
At Pecha Kucha Penticton we like characters. And boy do we have characters. In Volume 19 of our speaker series, our characteristically amazing speakers talk about just what building character means to them. From a former background actor who ticked off Kevin Costner to a fish biologist working to save sockeye, character takes many shapes and paths. Get tickets early – this event characteristically sells out quick.
Tickets available at Cannery Brewing or online
Pecha Kucha ̶ Japanese for “chit-chat” ̶ is a speaker series that originated in Tokyo in 2003. It’s since grown into an international series in more than 1,100 cities. Based on a simple format ̶ 20 images x 20 seconds ̶ presenters get a total of 6 minutes and 40 seconds to tell their stories in an engaging slide-show format.
Held four times a year in Penticton, Cowork Penticton presents this regularly sold-out not-for-profit series, with tunes by DJ Shakes. Pecha Kucha brings together a diverse range of Okanagan thinkers, doers and story tellers.
Doors open 6:00pm. First presentation at 7:00 p.m. Come early to get a seat.
