Macrame Wall Hanging Workshop
This workshop is a collaboration with local designer Vaelei Walkden-Brown of Little Lei Art and Design now located in The Cannery Trade Centre.
Vaelei Walkden-Brown is the life force behind Little Lei Art and Design. She thrives on a holistic, collaborative and intuitive approach to her work. Experimentation based on accumulated knowledge is her way of creating inspiring things and experiences for the people she works with. Her Polynesian ancestry influences a strong connection to textile art and macrame is a small way for her to connect to this ancestry.
This macrame workshop is an introduction to 3 basic macrame knots. Through learning these knots you will be able to create an endless amount of your own beautiful creations using your unique intuitions and ideas. You will also leave with a small piece to adorn your home or gift to a loved one!
