Harvey K. would have to be considered a true veteran of the Canadian music scene. At age 64, Harvey has been playing drums and singing in bands with some of the top musicians/artists in Western Canada for over 50 years. Now retired from “the road”, Harvey brings his many years of musical experience and considerable talents (piano, mandolin, drums, voice) to his new home in Penticton BC. Harvey was born & raised in Neepawa Manitoba, and after high-school, spent 17 years in Winnipeg, playing pubs, clubs, concerts, radio and TV shows, recording sessions for artist demos and album/CD releases. Touring with Kathi McDonald (Long John Baldry, Rolling Stones, Joe Cocker) in 1989, led to relocating to Vancouver, where he spent almost 30 years as a live, tour and session drummer. Harvey has played, toured or recorded with Long John Baldry, Jeff Healy, Barney Bentall, Ferron, Shari Ulrich, Valdy, Kathi McDonald, Jim Byrnes, Tiller’s Folly, Allen Dobb, Gary Comeau, Brickhouse, Angela Kelman and the Polyester Philharmonic, LesQ, Hurricane Hannah, Double Eagle Band, and The Bobcats to name a few. Harvey Kostenchuk is also included in the Manitoba Music Museum.
