No matter the time of year, there is always something happening in Penticton. Home to over 30 annual major events and festivals, there is a variety to experience from cultural showcases, world-class sporting events, beer and wine festivals, live entertainment, seasonal fairs and so much more. Fall Workshops & Activities at Leir House Cultural Centre
The Penticton & District Community Arts Council is excited to share the upcoming Arts Matter program events and partnerships with local artists who are creating fun and engaging workshops and activities for our community. Find out more at www.pentictonartscouncil.com
- October: Halloween / Fall Colouring Book created by local artists. Download from the PDCAC website or pick up a printed copy at the Leir House Cultural Centre, the Penticton Museum & Archives, or the Penticton Library.
- October 30th: Witches & Ghosts with Alice Strohmaier. Join Alice in making spooktacular up-cycled witch and ghost decorations from common items from your home and recycling bin! Ages 16+. $25 (10:30 am to 1:00 pm)
- November 6th: Printmaking with Karla Avendaño. During this two-hour workshop, participants will get to learn about different printmaking techniques and create their own unique print using the famous relief method. Join us and let your imagination flow during this exciting introductory workshop to printmaking. $50. (10:30 am to 12:30 pm.)
- November 27th: Holiday Ornaments with the Penticton Potters’ Guild. Learn to make four delightful clay creations while learning new pottery techniques. Ornaments include table trees, angel cats, press plates, and stars. $60. (9:00 am to 3:00 pm)
All supplies are included in the workshop fees, and they take place at the Leir House Cultural Centre. (220 Manor Park Avenue, Penticton.)
Seating is limited and all current Provincial Health Order guidelines will be followed.
