Colin has released a EP titled “Harmony” which held down the #1 spot on the Fredericton independent radio charts, and ascended to #4 on the national Folk/Roots/Blues !earshot chart.
Due Feb 22 is the follow up EP “Amusement Park” is the second wave of new material that will culminate in a full-length album release later in 2019. Along with the usual suspects from his backing band (James Rooney – drums, Jarret Meadows – bass, and Steve Hubbard – lead guitar) Colin is joined by Dillon Anthony (pedal steel) on an acoustic version of “Sanctuary” which has become a fan-favourite in his live shows. Michelle Morrison also returns providing guest vocals on “Compel You.”
This production places the songs front and center, from the acoustic alt-country inspired presentation of “Sanctuary” to a contemporary rock arrangement of “Compel You” that melds acoustic and electric guitars and adds a touch of grunge-rock sensibility. The title track is an unapologetic guitar heavy blues-rock stomp that is fun, furious, and dishes out some questionable advice about life.
In his younger years Colin played around with some bands in the Saint John, New Brunswick area. Taking the better part of 15 years off to focus on a career and a family, but never giving up on playing and writing. Now with lots of life experience behind him, there is no shortage of writing material. Colin is constantly writing and is ready for a follow up full album to his 2015 EP “the upper cruft”.
Growing up in the 90’s Colin takes influence from the likes of: Chris Cornell, Alice in Chains, Eddie Vedder and now with the likes of Jason Isbell, Chris Stapleton, Matt Corby.
