Assemblage Workshop with Scott Price
Working to create an assemblage sculpture, we will discuss design aspects, materiality, and methods of attachment. We will work with found objects and experiment with the relationships among these elements.
Participants are encouraged to bring a small number of varied shaped objects to the session. These objects can be from the natural environment (e.g. pieces of wood, stones, feathers, branches) or manufactured objects (e.g. found objects such as beach glass, rusty pieces of metal, wire, or other discarded items that interest you and you want to include in your sculpture).
If you have a pair of pliers, bring them along. Wire, nails, screws, glue, tape, etc. will be supplied.
Workshop fee: $20 or pay what you can
