Arts Matter Online: Listen + Create with Maiya Robbie on Facebook Live Saturday May 16th at 7:00 PM

Maiya Robbie (Screendoors, Skyline, Shane Koyczan and the Short Story Long) is a singer songwriter from the Okanagan/ Syilx territory of BC. She started writing songs at around 15 years old. She loved the method of self expression as well as the opportunity through crafting a song to distill emotion to the poetic root. Music and art has being a driving force through much of her life. Her songwriting is a little acoustic, a little electric. Hear the influence of the mountains and the storms.

The lyrics to Maiya’s songs invoke emotions and images as the stories unfold, grab a sketchbook and “Listen + Create”! Post your drawings in the Facebook event discussion. Or, just hang out, sit back, listen and enjoy!
